Records, Good Food and Pianos

Hello?... Crickets chirping... Anyone still there? I know I haven't been around lately and I apologize for the lack of posts. I didn't plan to take a blogging break. It just kind of happened. It is good to be back at it again, though and I'd love to fill you in on what I've been up to lately. I'm currently reading Ezekiel in the bible.

Oh and my daughter and I spent part of the day in Lancaster last weekend. We had so much fun. She was really happy to find a record shop to browse in and found some old albums for $1.00 a piece.

We noticed that there were several pianos throughout downtown Lancaster. I found out that Lancaster city is now known as the Street Piano Capitol of the world. A total of 14 pianos, all designed and painted by local artists are available to the public 24/7 until the end of September. The objective is to provide access to musical opportunities, foster creativity and build a sense of community among the public and, in the process, raise resources awareness for local music and visual arts education initiatives. While we were walking, we didn't find all 14, but we did find a few.

I can't tell you how tempted I was to sit down and play, but at the time, I didn't know that I could.

If I make it back before September, I'm going to hop right on and go for it.

We stopped to admire these pretty flowers. I would love to try to recreate something like this.

After walking around for a while, we were ready for a snack. We found a wonderful little cupcake shop.

I ended up getting a peach cobbler cupcake and it was oh so good! .

The fam and I also went to one of my favorite restaurants, The Olive Garden. Here's some of the things we had. Salad...

Chicken gnocchi soup,

Rigatoni with traditional meat sauce,

and Fettuccini Alfredo.

Just one more thing... I would like for you to hear my daughter play a song. I always enjoy sitting back and listening to her play my favorite tunes The clip below is probably familiar to you, it's from Beauty and the Beast.
Wishing you a day filled with beauty and a weekend full of joy... :)
