Is It Friday Yet?

Hi, I hope you are all enjoying your summer so far. The temperatures are getting higher, but it's a typical summer with high heat and humidity. Today, I'm excited because this is my first time joining up with a few awesome weekend parties and I had so much fun participating. So, here goes, I'll start off with one thing that I really enjoy doing in my down time... blogging. On the morning of the below pic, I posted over breakfast. I had a fresh cup of coffee, half an English muffin and kiwi while I spent some time visiting and catching up with all of you in blog land.

My family and I also went to see Jurassic World and WOW! This movie was so awesome! Not only did I give it two thumbs up, I included the remaining 8 fingers... =D... Okay, that was a little cheesy, but seriously... it was a really good movie. If you're a sci-fi fan like we are, I recommend it.

It's been raining off and on a lot where I live, but earlier in the week we were rewarded with the coolest rainbow. I wished I'd gotten a better picture because it was so much prettier in person.

Oh and I have really been on a cleaning streak and have been cleaning my house like crazy. My sister will be visiting us for almost a week soon and I can't wait. My to do list is pretty long and there's so much more to be done, but I'll save that for another post... :)

And because I'd always rather be laughing, how could I possibly resist adding this.

Well, that is what's happening in my little corner of the world. I'm linking up with:

Have a wonderful weekend... :)

Summer Vacation

My family and I are going on our summer vacation next week, but I really wish our budget was a whole lot bigger... huge sigh. I mean wouldn't it be awesome if money were no object and you could go anywhere in the world that tickled your fancy? I mean, how great would it be to plan the road trip of a lifetime?

You know, I've also always wanted to go to Niagara Falls.

Shout - out to the good hearts and beautiful minds !!! :)

London, England has always been at the top of my travel bucket list.Trafalgar Square, London
Venice sounds nice, too.

I'd love to lace up my sneakers and walk along the Great Wall of China.

Or maybe we could climb to the top of a mountain, although I'm not sure everyone would be on board with that idea.
Lost in America
Perhaps they would rather go sailing.

Visiting The Grand Canyon would be fun, too.

What if money were no object and you could go anywhere in the world this summer? Where would you go?

Rainy Days

Here lately, we've been getting a lot of rain. There is something comforting about a rainy day in the summer. Sometimes, I curl up by a window, with a soft throw, a hot cup of coffee, and a good book. During this downpour, I spent some time on Pinterest. Browsing through home décor pics is such a great way to get new ideas and I've been soaking up all the design inspiration. Today's post includes a few rooms that were definitely eye candy for me.
